They are creating a client for multiple phones not just one like the Iphone. When you have 10-12 different models with dif operating systems and specs it is a lot harder to make one app that works for each individually. They took what features may be the most important and tried to incorporate them into an app that works for most people. Yeah the storm does have a bigger screen but they don't want to totally redesign the interface for one phone. ALso facebook has been changing frequently they cant always keep up with all the changes. Chat was in beta for quite awhile on fb.

I could honestly care less if the Facebook 1.6 application has chat, it will be an unused feature for many...
