Default BlackBerry Weather Eye by The Weather Network

While there is always the free BBweather, BBsync reminded me about another free application called WeatherEye to get your weather fix. The application is free but the downside is that it is ad supported so there will be cute little ads on the bottom of your weather.

The cool feature is that it changes the icon on your homescreen based on the current forecast. Pretty nifty! Personally I still recommend BBweather but WeatherEye is worth a mention. For some reason the short term forecast does not work only the long term. Also the long term forecast only lets you see 5 days unlike BBweather which lets you see up to 10.
You can pick up WeatherEye free OTA at this link.

I grabbed that one up a couple of days ago and I love the desktop icon. Hover over it and it shows current temp. Still like the ten day forecast of BB though, as stated above.

I liek it better than the BB weather. Updating on ly 2x per day was not enough for me. It also does not display the short term forcast for me.

Also, how to i get the BB weather shortcut to disappear? I've already unsubscribed from it. now what?

i've had this for a few days and have had no problem with the short-term forecast, not sure what the issue would be, it has worked since I got it. Love it, great program! Have always used the desktop computer version, this is great for being away from the Mac

Maybe we need a survey of who can/cannot get Short-term forecasts.

It may be a US-Canada issue. I do get long term forecasts.

Seattle - NO short-term

It seems odd that it would get long term but not the short-term.

Cool app, but I think something is wrong with the short term, since we all can't get it.
