I kind of picked up on that myself . I saw that the language version is in "chinese" so I have to say to myself ...Self, will this be in English or Chinese?...

Very Good Grasshopper,

I guess we will have to wait for paul harvey... You know... the rest of the story.

Until then, same bat time...same bat channel...

They'll all feature English as a main language, but if they say "Chinese" then they'll have support for Chinese. It may be an optional install but will be part of the basic package you download.

So would anyone happen to know if and when they will be coming out with OS 4.2.2? All of the really great themes that i have thus far found for my 8800 are for that OS and I only have 4.2.1

my gf just got a blackberry 8800 with t mobile and we can not figure out how to disable the password unlock. when we go into the security options and try to disable it there is a red lock next to it and can not access it. she called t mobile and they said it was because it is a corporate phone. does anyone know how to fix that?

wait..are you telling me they sold you a refurb? or are they saying the BB is a corporate phone and it's liek that way?

It's definately not that way..Blackberry can be a consumer device as much as a corporate device.

If it's still got the lock on it, just wipe it.

Options/Adv Options/Security Options, General Settings, push trackball in, go to wipe handheld, click up to continue, type blackberry in and press enter..that'll wipe it.

what happened was it was a phone turned in lost at my work. no one claimed it so after 30 days I got it. Turns out it was t mobile which is her carrier so i gave it to her. since there was a password lock on it after 10 tries it automatically wiped itself. So even after the wipe it is still that way. I changed the password it would just be more convenient to have * send unlock. When she called t mobile they said she would have to call the bb customer service just thought I would check here to see if anyone could figure it out.

Default ?? How Do I Change The Bb 8800 From Bes To Bis?

`allow Me To Explain, Originally My Wife Had A Bb 8820. Well, She Dropped It In Water, It Worked For About A Month After This Incident. She Has Been Without A Bb For A Few Months. While Checking Out Ebay I Purchased A Preowned Bb 8800 To Replace Her Drowned Bb. The Problem Is That I Am Unable To Set Up Her Bis Email, It Ask For A Bes Email. How Can I Resolve This?

Thanks,

Bk

Do you have a BB Data Plan for the device? if you do, have you entered her new PIN in the AT&T BIS website to move the BIS account from the old BB to the new BB? Doing that will get the service books pushed to the new device.
Where can I log into my BIS account? - BlackBerryFAQ
