Desktop software 4.3 error

I downloaded the latest desktop software 4.3 from RIM and I am receiving the following message: "The Blackberry Desktop software does not have Blackberry device software for the device that you have connected to the computer".
I tried using the software CD that came with the BB8820 when I purchased it but also it does not work.

Please advice.

If you want to sync to Outlook you might want to hold off on the Desktop Manager upgrade anyway. It won't sync to Outlook and the only real change is that the main menu has a new look. I reverted to 4.2.

4.3 is working fine for me I have only sync'd once but everything seems fine.

Just tried it again - sync'd fine. Im using Outlook 2007 so don't know if that makes a difference?

This error message appears to be telling you that you also need the operating system software on your pc.

To check your operating system version go to options> about then go to your carriers download site to obtain it.
