Anyone with the Blackberry 8820? I need info!

As you can see I am using the 8800 on T-mobile and am thinking about buying an 8820. Can anyone give me info on the 8820. Does the 8820 come with spell check, how is the wifi speed compared to edge? I hope that someone can give me some info, before I make the move to an unlocked 8820. Thanks

Yes, the 8820 has spell check...wifi on my home network runs a bit faster then edge, have not tried it on any public wifi sites yet....

Cool, thanks for the info. I just ordered one and couldn't find that information on blackberry.com. I can't wait to try out the wifi, I hope that it is faster then edge.

On my home network, the WiFi is at least twice as fast as Edge. However, as you likely know, AT&T, if you were to use them, does not support UMA as T-Mobile does, but then, since AT&T/Cingular has 2 or 3 times better coverage than T-Mobile nationwide, this is not as bad as it could be. <g>

BTW, check out Garmin. For $99 you can buy GPS software for a one time fee and not pay $10/month for provider support.

Thanks for the info, I just got my 8820 and unlocked it so that I could use it with T-mobile. I wonder if I would be able to make phone calls over UMA.

Actually, you don't need to pay AT&T any money for using 8820 GPS application (called BlackBerry Map). You can simply remove the application restriction from the phone and you'll have the access to pre-installed program. AT&T is simply trying to twist your arms and rip-off you as usual :-(
