Saying that i wish RIM would make some more sexier devices...Winmo as an OS is pure crap but their devices are pretty nice looking.
Seriously spend a week with Winmo and you will be back to BB...**** id rather slit my own throat then have another Winmo device shoved in my hand . | Wow... that's... not normal.
I've had the SE Xperia, while not the best typing phone, it was a very fast, and very good phone. I didn't mind it. What put me off and made me sell it was the fact that SE locked the BIOS so I couldn't REALLY use an extended battery. Something that I can do with a BB. I don't really like resistive screens for only typing. The Storm 2 should be more than suffice for my fast fingers ^^ (with it's capacitive and 4 button screen).
The HTC Touch HD2 looks like an awesome phone, as well . 4.3 touch capacitive screen :P.
WinMo isn't that bad. Some would say RIM is a bad OS if you want to do anything other than RIM OEM apps. Winmo is very open and there are thousands of apps out there (as well as games). I don't know why people hate it so much. It's very customizable. BB is not. I love BB, been a BB user for MANY years and I've also been a WinMo user for many hears, had the iphone for a few months, and an android phone for 2 days.... by far the two BEST Mobile Operating Systems are WinMo & BB. The two most open: Android & Maemo. I don't want to fuel a war, but many people here blame "apple fanbois" for never being anything more than that. I think many of the people here are guilty of being BB Fanbois. Every OS has its pros and cons. BB is way more secure, and very reliable. WinMo is very customizable and a very large repository of apps & games as well as utilities in general. I honestly don't see why so many people hate it.

There are two kinds of people in this forum:
1) Those who have done all the research, watched all the videos, and read all the articles and actually see the potential that the Storm2 has and the success that will probably come from it.
...and....
2) Those who have to convince themselves that either their current phone is better than the Storm2, or that the Storm2 isn't worth the upgrade because they aren't eligible for upgrade or some other reason.
Threads like these are getting so old.

You are absolutely ridiculous for starting this thread when you haven't even used a Storm2.
MY THEORY: You were too impatient to wait for the Storm2, bought the HTC Imagio, and now you're trying to convince yourself that its better, although you really have to way of legitimately making that statement. That means you fall into the 2nd category of the types of people posting in the Storm2 forum.

What a bunch of close-minded BB lemmings!
First of all, I have a Storm, have been eagerly anticipating the S2, and have never owned a WinMo device. I tried my brother's Omnia last year and it sucked. But, in anticipation of the S2, I have also been checking out what the other options are and the Imagio looks pretty interesting. I am glad to see somebody on here who has one and is willing to post their impressions of it.
Second, all that the S2 really adds that the S1 doesn't have is WiFi. You can already run OS 5.0 on the S1. The new keyboard technology may make typing nicer, but it does actually add any capabilities that the S1 doesn't have (that I know of). So, saying that you can't compare the Imagio to the S1 and draw some conclusions about how it compares to the S2 is ridiculous. Again, very close-minded.
My Storm has been ridiculously buggy. I'm on my 3rd one, currently, because of hardware issues. I've had every Beta version of the OS and it has continuously improved. But, it is still buggy. I still have to do a battery pull roughly once per day. I still FREQUENTLY have issues with typing (email, SMS, or BBM) where it just freezes for a few seconds and loses most of what I typed while it was frozen.
All this trash talking about WinMo and the superior reliablity of the BBOS has NO justification based on the facts (of the Storm).
So, Mr. s4ndm4n, why don't you keep your inane categorizations of people to yourself? You are not contributing anything useful to this thread.
And anybody who can offer more real-world info about using the Imagio and how it compares to using a Storm, please share.

I have a question for all the (apparent) WinMo experts on here.
Do any WinMo devices (or any other platform) have a SureType-style keyboard, like the BB Pearl and Storm? I had a Pearl before my Storm and I really like that kind of keyboard. I find I type a lot faster using that than if I try to use the much smaller keys of the full QWERTY keyboard in landscape mode.

Well as for myself I am not saying the S2
sucks. It looks like it might be pretty cool.
If the screen were larger I would be on it.
But VZW has some other nice phones
coming out that I am going to take a look at.
The one that I am interested in is the Omnia 2.
480x800 res 3.7" screen 800mhz processor.
Im a screen size junkie what can I say.
By the way I am a current S1 owner and yes I liked it
lots. So there............

If you're talking about prior versions, then let's talk about comparing them to BBOS, say, v4.3? How'd you like to switch to that? That's what was on my Pearl, when I got it...
