The BB has better email and multitasking, but it depends what models you're looking at.

As someone who just dropped their Tour for the Hero I can tall the about statement is not true at all. Both are able to multitask, and the Hero has way better e-mail than BB, at least better than the the Pearl, Curve and Tours I've owned. Not to mention it beats BB Storm all to heck with responsiveness and capabilities. In a week of ownership I haven't had to pull a battery or restart my Hero once, the memory management is phenomenal, BB can't say that.

Multitasking is a tad bit better on the Hero than on the BB, more programs open less drag and lag. With any phone or computer capable of multitasking the more programs you have open the more the system is going to drag.

Out of curiosity Tghjockey have you used the Hero?

I had an HTC and had nothing but problems with it. Finally after the third replacement the company I bought it from told me that they were giving me a blackberry instead.

I didn't want one at the time but now that I've had it for a couple months I'd never go back to an HTC. The blackberry works so much better and doesn't crash all the time.

Just my thoughts.

Cheers,

The Hero is a great device. Unless you absolutely need a BB I don't see any reason not to buy the Hero.

I am thinking about going to the Hero from the BB Curve. Have to get to the store to play with it & see how it is in hand. Be nice not to have to pay full price too!

I upgraded from my curve to the hero. And I have to say I'm glad I went HTC. The multitasking and the browser alone make this better than any blackberry I've ever had or seen. It's an amazing device.

I was hoping that Hero can be used on SERO. But since Hero is not offered to SERO users, I jumped onto Tour instead.

I plan to purchase an unlocked GSM Hero as soon as I can. I'm so pumped about this phone.

The Hero is a good device. I like the touchscreen and the boatload of features. I'm not sure if there is a BB (other than the Storm 2) that can compete with it. I'm not even sure if the new storm can compete. HTC has been coming out with a very strong lineup. Not too many phone manufacturers can beat them.

For what I like in both phones I went with the Palm treo pro that was built by HTC. It has the best of both worlds for me as I am one thst kind of prefers a physical keyboard. The worst phone I ever owned was the HTC Touch Pro.

Seriously? Better email? How did you arrive to this conclusion? Don't even start with Multitasking Mr. Batterypull....
