Anyone knows the overall quality, sound quality, and signal strength of it?

I know somebody who's got a CECT. They're crap. Signal is quite good but battery goes empty very fast, phone reboost every two days or so, SIM is giving fault messages, some application do fail when trying to use them..
One could say they look good, but actually they're copying popular designs...

I own one and have had it for almost two months now. I personally think it is a good quality phone. The battery life is more than adequate and it lasts as long as my Nokia did. Of course if you have every option turned on it will put a drain on the battery.
The feature set is good. Overall I am well satisfied with this phone and the price is right.
HTH...

I have to disagree with Timothy555 in that I think the antenna is crap but the battery life is good. I thought that when it came with two batteries that either they were just really generous or that the battery life sucked. The antenna on the other hand is unimpressive. With my old motorola I had service at my home (I live in the boondocks of central oregon) albeit only 1 bar but at least it worked. The p168+ gets no service unless I'm in my driveway, and since we have highs of 20 degrees and a foot of snow right now, that just doesn't work. The sound quality is fine, unless you use the headphones. I salvaged a head phone jack from an old sound card and made my own headphone adapter so I could use real phones. the sound quality of voice calls is good, and the mp3 sound is just fine. video player framerate sucks, or I just haven't found the right resolution or codec to use.
All in all, for the price, this phone is awesome. It's no iPhone but it also doesn't cost $400.

| | Well I love my P168+
I've had the the CECT P168+ for about four months now and I have really liked it! I don't use the internet on it but every other feature works for me. Wish it would connect to outlook but other than that it has been a great little phone. I never have to 'reboot' it has been totally reliable- I haven’t had it ever crash. I have better signal than my Ipaq pocket PC phone . If you want to use your own headphones you can buy a converter on ebay for less than 10$ with shipping. Battery life is no better or worse than any other phone I've ever had and the two batteries it comes with are awesome. I always have a spare when I'm running low from not charging for several days. If I use the mp3 player it drains pretty quickly though.
The phone ultimately is inexpensive and basically runs on a Nokia operating system from what I have found. I am going to be testing gps stuff on it shortly to see if I can find some compatible. To get my MMS working I actually went to the Nokia site and selected on of their modals and it sent the settings and automatically set up my MMS! It was pretty sweet.
Everyone sees it and thinks it is some kind of iPhone but I love to tell them I spent $180 with shipping on eBay. I bought from a US seller so it cost more but was worth it in the shipping time saved and great transaction.
All and all this is a cheap phone but it works and the touch screen is handy and has enough hardware buttons to make one handed nav really easy. The on screen keyboard is tiny but works amazingly accurately for me. I can txt with it one handed while driving ..eek.
Cool phone would buy again and more features than the iPhone besides the extra special touch screen moving crap -- who needs that?? I can at least send picture messages.

I bought one from an eBay vendor called CheerfullTraders. They sent me a defective model. Even the calculator didn't work on the phone... It wouldn't accept my friend's T-mobile SIM, nor would it accept my AT&T sim.
I wish I had more of a review.

I bought one a CECT P168+ and three months later it shut off and would not turn back on. And in the three months i had it, i was miserable. I got the phone cause i wanted to use google maps, and the browser was so incredibaly slow, and flat out wasn't capable of loading most web pages. The ebay seller told me it had gps, wifi, and java. these phones DO NOT have gps. they DO NOT have wifi. they ARE NOT java enabled. those three things make for a very fancy very expensive very ordinary phone. can't do hardly anything online. I've reserched these phones for days and days at a time, i know alot obout them and if your'e trying to decide between that or a blackberry....well there's really no contest. I've had my Curve for about two weeks now and it blows my P168 out of the water!!!

I bought one in the past and I had T-Mobile with it. Overall it was ok. Not great but ok. In Texas the signal was good, I had to tweak some settings on it to get the MMS to work properly but other than to text, call and some videos there is not much you can add to the phone like programs that are compatible with it.

I just seen a phone the TBG and it claims to have 365 days of stand by time and 3 - 5 days of talk time. I don't see it lasting that long. MAYBE 6 months of stand by.
Looks pretty cool though. For 150 bucks, it's almost worth buying just to find out.
