Default Reasons I bought a BB

1) push email
2) QWERTY keyboard
3) shortcuts
4) simple to use
5) reliable
6) the Bold does everything
7) BB messenger
8) they have all the after market apps I will ever need.

The only thing I did not like about the Bold was the size (too big).
The Onyx will be my next phone because of the smaller size.

The recent 3.0 OS upgrade did help a little with allowing push to subfolders as opposed to just your main inbox, but it’s still no comparison to the Bold. But now I am somewhat annoyed at the fact of having to cart around two phones and want to get rid of one. My first choice would be to ditch the iPhone and make my bold my primary phone but my company doesn’t want to pay for the Enterprise Service so I can connect to the Exchange server. I feel like I’m being forced to assimilate to use a less productive phone because someone in the telecommunications department is wow-ed by eye candy. Any ideas on how I can get around this and still use my Bold for business?
I have to ask. And I am not trying to be snarky or funny or anything. What kind of company? Are you in the creative field or Medicine or something like that?

Same here. To be honest, I was ready to go to the Pre but I felt like the BB was fully baked. And theBB reminds me a lot of why I like the Palm OS - it just gets things done.

I have used a lot of phones and just keep coming back to BB because of the email and the
keyboard.

From reviews i seemed the most reliable, had a full qwerty keyboard, email push, and has been very simple to use! I am glad I got it!

Yeah... of all the smartphone OSs out there, the BB OS does seem to be the most Palm OS "like". And that's a good thing... as long as RIM doesn't rest on their laurels like Palm did.

My first smartphone was a Windows Mobile phone. It was the Samsung Blackjack. I got it when I had At&t and unlocked it to use it with T-mobile. When I was ready for a new phone, first I tried out the T-mobile Dash. The battery life sucked, and it was freezing up on me constantly.

My next choice was the BlackBerry Curve 8320, and I absolutely loved it from the moment I got it. As soon as I found CrackBerry was the moment it made my love for the phone even stronger. I found applications, and so much more that made me utilize my phone. I have not looked back since. I am now on my second BlackBerry, the Curve 8900. Yes, the OS is not amazing, but it gets the job done, and there are plenty of apps that work for what I need. I have no complaints, at all.

Well I really wanted WinMo, but I HATE tocuhscreens. I hate the fact that every time I make a call, my face opens and closes a few applications.
I hate the fact that I have to handle the tocuhscreen phone very carefully since I might touch something and open, close, call, or do some unwanted action.
I had a Palm Treo Pro, and although it was a tocuhscreen, it was pretty good. Except the keyboard was made for baby sized fingers. You can't be productive with it.

I have a Bold, and the keyboard is awesome, trackball is awesome, but it doesn't do EVERYTHING like a WinMo phone. I have to pay a lot extra for BES, etc in order to use excahnge. This is built in on a WInMo phone.

Bottom line is I like Blackberry Hardware and Windows OS.
I wonder if RIM will ever make a WinMo model. If they do, PLEASE no tocuhscreen! Use a Bold!

I'm with TMO and wanted a full keyboard but their choices are very limited. I noticed the 8900 was tagged as "coming soon" so I new it at least wouldn't be outdated.
When checking for reviews I stubled across Kevin's 8900 review and was impressed with what he had to say. I explored the CB 8900 forum and that pretty much sold me. The biggest factor in choosing a Blackberry was actually the intelligent and helpful community here on Crackberry. I feel they've got my back if something goes wrong.

My Bold is my very first Smartphone, I needed to replace an old cellphone LG400, and did some looking to get a phone that would hold and play music, and was not really interested in the web/data features.
Many of my friends ,coworkers and Sister in Law had the I-Phone 3G and I had many chances to see the web browsing, Movies and internet radio.
I did some research on Music capable phones that AT&T carried and looked at the BlackBerries, The Bold had the staorage capability, and a decent music player I was familiar with in media player 11, I liked the full keypad for texting, big screen for photos and videos.
I am seriously against I-Tunes, so the I-Phone was not considered.
I have had my Bold for 6 weeks and it has greatly exceeded my expectations, oddly enough I don't think I have listened to more than 4 CDs on the Bold, I DLd Pandora, Slacker, and Iheart and set up my stations.
The Push E-Mail, and SMS/MMS with that killer keypad, even browsing although that is NOT a BB strong suit with 3G and WiFi make the Bold a terrific device for communication, and Oh Yeah you can make phone calls on it as well

I got my first smartphone used at the start of the year (didn't want to sign a new contract) so that i could give WinMo a try. The XV6800 is an alright phone, it does what I need with good bettery life, but it doesn't exactly thrill me. Sometimes it hangs, its often very sluggish in changing apps or opening menus. I don't seem to have the daily reset need that other WinMo users have though.

I've been out of contract since february waiting for this years batch of phones to hit Verizon. I kept waiting for an android qwerty phone to come along, but I'm sick of it, lol. I want a new smartphone, and the Tour looks fantastic. Latest BB OS with all the features that go with. A solid name and reputation for their hardware. And when it comes to messaging/email on the go, what does EVERYONE think of? Blackberry.

A friend of mine who had a Pearl couldn't stand the OS, but loved the hardware. Looking at the way I use my current phone, the Tour will do all the apps I currently use, and will be a lot more stable. No, it's not the flashiest OS. But I'll take usability, durability and outright usefulness over a shiny pretty toy any day.

Besides, we all know the Tour is the sexiest BB yet, don't we?

Amen to that! I've had my curve since Aug 08 and never (knock on wood) had an issue. BB's rock!
