Default Blackberry Icons for PC

This is my entire collection (and growing) of icons that display when you connect your Blackberry or other device to your PC. Simply download the one you want and then follow the instructions listed below. The next time you hook up your device, instead of getting Removable Disk or whatever, you will get a picture of your Phone and a description. This are for use with the Windows operating system and may not work on Linux or OS X.

Instructions
1. Download the archive that you want.

2. Hook up your device, it should display it and/or it's sd card under My Computer.

NOTE: You can also just use an SD card reader. The card does not have to be in your device for this to work. The files just need to be copied to the root of the SD card or device. These icons can even be used on external hdds or flash drives.

3. Extract the archive to the root of your device.

4. Done!

5. Disconnect and reconnect your device to see your image.

NOTE: If you have Slacker, an icon already displayed, or an Autorun.inf file, you can still use this. Simply copy the .ico file to the root of the SD card, edit where it says "icon=image.ico" Change image to the name of the .ico file you have and save.

Any requests, please post them. I am working on more as I post this.

How to Find the Icon You are Looking For

Each archive is named according to what model and carrier each icon is. For example, 8130-V1 would be a Blackberry Pearl 8130 on Verizon. The number indicates different colors. 8310-A1 is a Blackberry Curve 8310 on AT&T. Since 8310 is only on AT&T, this doesn't clash with the 8330 on Alltel.

From my other thread with just the 8330 icon for Alltel, I have renamed that archive to 8330-A1. I have also removed the model numbers at the end of the label. When plugged in, your device will just say "Blackberry Curve" or "Blackberry Storm." You can edit this by changing the autorun.inf "label=whatever" where whatever is your label.

NOTE: You don't have to use your specific model's icon, you can put a Storm icon on your Curve's SD card or a Tour's on your Bold's.

This is pretty much the misc section. It contains some icons I did when I first started as well as some more recent ones like the iPhone 4. Basically anything that isn't BlackBerry or Android will go here.

I will eventually upload the other old icons I have lying around.

THIS IS NOW MY ANDROID ICONS POST PART 1

These icons will make it so Windows will display the icon and label contained in the files. You can edit the label to make it show whatever you'd like. The files go into the root of the droids memory. i.e. E:\. The image below is the icons by themselves. So the text shown here is the filename of the .ico file. After you have added the .ico file and autorun.inf file to the root of your device, you can reconnect and see the icon and label display under My Computer.

I accept requests as well.

NOTE: Make sure you have Mass Storage Mode Support enabled on your phone and set as the connection type when connected to your PC.

Thumbs up

Was (almost) perfect for my needs. Was thinking I'd have to "borrow" the crackmem icon.

Could you do the Tmo 8320s (titanium, gold, sunset) & AT&T (blue) if you feel like it?
No offense to anyone but I feel "dirty" using a VZ 8330 icon for a tmo 8320 in titanium...
