Have you tried a dealer? Or ever consider Cricket? I know they don't care who's phone it is.

I got my bb flashed full today. Web stopped working already but it is flashed to metropcs.....yea
How do I check the settings and web?
100.00 for something that might not be working in a few hours.......Battery seems to drain much faster also.....With metro and a full flash people are getting what services?
MMS
SMS
Some Kind of Mail
Web
Yahoo msg
Facebook
GPS

I think these are what everyone is getting to work? Right?

Did I mention that I went to 19 metro dealers in Atlanta and not one of them would flash a blackberry for me or even add it to there network. They offer metro flash but only if you got your phone from Fred Flint stone some time in B.C. Though every one of the dealers were more than glad to point out that they could sell me what I all ready had. I can confirm that they are not allowing bb onto there net work unless they are from metropcs. Just makes people pay 100.00 for a service that is 7.00 wholesale. The FCC should make them remove there adds that say bring in your current providers phone and we will flash it for you. Should read bring in you non current 13 lb cell phone and we will try to figure out how to use a program with our current 386 1986 thin pad, Please fill in your scan tron with a magic marker so our strung out sales rep can see your selection - if you seem to know more than our rep we have informed them to pretend you are not there and to seek cover with the next group of 50 that just came in. Please be aware MetroPCS is mostly used by felons and dealers so CDMA phones are not what we do! They could see CDMA phones as confusing and hard to use. Plus who need GPS or 911 now days.....lol Thank you for stopping in and come back when you would like to downgrade or we can have your first born!
Some of the reps I talked to should not be allowed to talk. I had never knew you could have a 10 min covo wit uuhhh - what----yea----uhhhh---flash what---uh---what model-----uh----did you try the other metro store---I do not know there phone---uh----here check this out it is just like yours and only 500.00 plus bla...bla...bla....bla..

Now how do we set this up for Georgia? They were saying the the bb reg id needs to be changed so does the voice roam otherwise it will not work.
Then the man him self said "tonycortes

it will work, some markets have particular issues.. mainly ATLANTA. so it's best to use whatever is relevant for your MARKET (REG ID, HOME SID)...
Is this a better option than CDMA or is CDMA still the best way to go...
1. Can some one help change this guide to Atlanta Area?
2. Can some one help with a guide for CDMA that is better than this and PM me....
Please let me know if I am ok to post stuff like this here?
Thanks guys.......

A BlackBerry not so much because they will no longer activate them unless it's one of their own.

And even if they do, you will not be able to get BBM and will have to retrieve emails from Browser and not native email app.

I bought a Blackberry Tour from Verizon which i was planning on flashing to use with Metro. I was okay with no BBM since i've never had it so isnt something i will miss but didnt know that the built in email client wouldnt work either. That really blows!
I'm assusming there isnt a work around that either?

The built in email client runs of a BlackBerry Data Plan, if your carrier doesn't offer that service than no it will not work.

And obviously, MetroPCS is not willing to add non-Metro BBs to their service. Sucks cause now i have a very nice BB yet cant use the main features LOL
I know the Metro Curve will be the solution for someone wanting to stick with Metro but at $350 when you can get a way better device for less i def dont like that idea... oh well
Thank you guys for confirming this for me
