ALERT:Major BIS Outage? 12-17-2009 *Updated*

Judging from my own issues and other posts around the forum/web, it seems as if there are major BIS issues with sending/receiving mail. Resending service books not only doesn't help, but my device does not even receive the service books.

I have gotten the following errors:
Message Status: Expected attachment request expired
Message Status: Transaction error - failure at service

I'm on T-Mobile and SMS messages seem to be working (intermittently), but e-mail is down for the count

I seem to have no issues with web browsing or PIN messages. It seems that the issue is mainly BIS email. All of my email accounts are currently Gmail/Google Apps accounts. I will try a non-Google account and see if it is any better.

Nope, the new email address is not even showing up on my BB (after adding via BIS interface). I guess that confirms that no service books are coming through.

Yup BIS is down. Not getting any email currently. Last one rec'd was around 2am EST.

Good thought it was my phone had a 552 error last night downloading beejive. Illinois here on Verizon.

Definitely a problem. Can't send email via BIS in New Jersey. Also, my Today Plus theme is only showing my calendar starting in January, 2010, but not sure this is related.

Not getting email on any of my verizon BB's in NC. Service books not coming through either.

Same issue here in Vancouver BC on TELUS. No emails from my hotmail account BUT emails ARE coming through on my @telus.blackberry.net account. Indicates partial service I would assume.

BBM and browsing working fine. Just no emails from anything other than blackberry.net email accounts.

I can actually send mail out through the BB mailbox, but I cannot receive it. Web browsing and BB Messenger both work, as does my Gmail client.

Have not tried texting anyone, but isn't SMS separate from BIS anyway?
