This is the NEXT CDMA phone? So you are implying it will be out BEFORE the 9550?

I can't tell you what the "surprise" i yets, because I'm not sure if its on the phone just for now, and only available for pre production models, or if its gonna make it all the way to actual production.

Currently this is believed to be heading to sprint. There was a fierce wireless article that quoted a sprint exec saying there would be a wifi enabled tour on sprint next year. Assuming the essex is the device that exec was referring to, this will go to sprint.

Eventually this device will probably be on other carriers as well (verizon, telus, etc.). There has not been much talk on that though. Alternatively, sprint could be picking this up as an exclusive, but there is currently no evidence to support that theory.
