Made a couple small adjustments to the color scheme, some of the colors seemed to be off and not very user friendly.

This theme rocks! It's freakin' great. I wish it would work with my Storm. I also wish my Storm would work. Memory leaks annoy! Should have called it the Blackberry Drought instead. But still cool theme!

The icons are gant icons, which i have posted in my other theme as gant icons. So does this apply to all iphone and simpsons themes (to name a few I've recently seen posted) as well? Did you post comments like this under their themes too?

Gant... right my bad. It's hard to tell the difference without referencing the individual icons.

But there is a difference in copyright law between using simpson's art and this kind of stuff.

The simpsons are filed under a corporate logo or probably a corporate trademark copyright, which allows the redistribution as long as you are not slandering, or making a bad name for the company, or calling it your own (among other things, but that's the main gist). As far as I know no themes here do that (to claim the art as your own would just be retarded) so they are all in the clear. The creative commons license is different, as I explicated above, however now that you have a link back to the original artist it's all good.

Wow. There are all kinds of folks on these message boards trying out theme development for the first time, and I'm betting the majority of them don't know a lot about illustrating icons for themselves and even less about copyright and licensing. And obviously Kagee tried to credit the artist, but maybe just didn't realize his effort wasn't good enough for some. I for one, assume unless someone is charging for their themes, their artwork probably isn't 100% original and never assumed Kagee's was, considering the reference to "gant."

Fusion missed a great opportunity to post a general message to the theme developers' community about licensing and copyright to better educate everyone rather than posting a rather dickish note on this particular thread.

Keep up the good work, Kagee. I for one, thought you were the creator of the theme, period - not the artwork. And I look forward to seeing more themes from you.
