Looks like the same phone, minus the slide out keyboard. It'll still likely be garbage. I was very excited about the pre until I got my hands on one and it just didn't live up to any of the hype. The OS is cool, but the phone hardware was junk.

Maybe I'm not comfortable enough with my feminine side, but I'd carry around a broken Tour before a fully functional... Pixi. =/

I was also excited the first time I heard about the Pre. I would search google about new information about the Pre every 2 days. When it finally came out, every demo unit in the Sprint stores kept running a demo over and over so that you couldn't really play with the phone.

I finally found a sprint store where you could actually play with the phone. The touch screen wasn't as responsive, and I wasn't too fond of the keyboard. It felt like it was a bowl and my thumbs were being pushed inward. Just a few minutes of playing with the phone was all that was needed before I realized that the phone isn't for me (hardware-wise). I like the OS though.

you mean there was enough interest in the Pre that they had to come out with a 2nd generation??

This is NOT a 2nd gen Pre. This is meant to be the little brother to the Pre with a cheaper entry point.

Yep. This is the the "other" WebOS device that's been rumored for a while, meant to act as a next-gen replacement for the TREO series.

dont think this is the replacement of the pre, that would be too soon. I am thinking this is the same as the Eos.... no?
