Default Rogers Bold 9700 is out of stock!!!

Just got off the phone with Rogers to inquire about my order I placed yesterday morning and why I haven't gotten my tracking number and they advised me that they are out of stock.

I'm so pissed with Rogers now it's not funny!

I'm thinking about it. Will see if they will put a note on my account about the upgrade so I can just go buy it from the store instead.

Crazy. I placed my order yesterday morning...they should have told me it was out of stock then.

well i see your from pitt meadows...stores in surrey vancouver burnaby have them now why not go get one from there and just cancel your order over the phone?

That's really messed up, I can feel the disappointment.
I don't get how they can sell people the thing without even checking their stock..

Hmmmmmm I placed my order last night through retention/relations and I also asked the rep if it was on back order and she said no. Maybe they have a special lot that is set aside when they need to send a customer a phone from retention/relations or at least I hope so. But, I also haven't received my tracking number so maybe my unit is on back order after all. I'm not gonna complain because I know the rep bent over for the deal she gave me. I'm not gonna push it.

weird i placed my order for my wife's unit with retentions yesterday at 4pm and i got my tracking number around 6pm tonight.. it;s already at UPS concord, ontario (dispatch center)

I feel your pain datacentre....been looking forward to this device, my first blackberry, for months. Ordered yesterday at 12pm EST. New activation switching from Fido.

Called early today and they say my "order is being processed"...called again this evening and same thing. To give me the jitters they have even "transposed" all my fido account information onto my new rogers account...all they see is my old fido account number and my "fido mailing address"...not the one I gave them yesterday....customer service seems to have no idea and they didnt think they could access fido accounts...ugg...I think something is messed up. I asked if they had stock...they said they are still in stock with deliveries in 3-5 days.....

UPS shows nothing with track by reference...using my order number/phone number/rogers acct number/etc.

The first call they mentioned something briefly about a "phone being added to the account"..so maybe thats a glimmer of hope.

yep, that sucks, in Kingston, Rogers have yet to get it. BUT it's in stock for Bell....

you should be able to get the contract price from a store...ive done it before extended contract at a store and got the 3 year or 2 year price which ever your looking for

I think they have too many ppl working at that place. They're all running around with their heads chopped off not know what each other person is doing.

I ordered mine yesterday morning as soon as I found out. I paid the full price and ordered it online, but still no shipping confirmation yet. This has happened before to me. When I ordered an iPhone 3GS, they assured me twice that the phone was in stock, but it wasn't. I waited 3 weeks and ended up buying one from Best Buy. Rogers doesn't have an online inventory tracking system and the customer service reps have no idea about what they have in their warehouses.
