I talked to our T-Mo Rep and she said that it would be out in the fall. Wouldn't tell me when since she said they're still testing the demos and stuff but definitely fall.

She referred to it as the 3G Blackberry for TMo so that = driftwood to me.

You're gonna be pi$$ed if she meant the Third Generation Curve (8520). . Nice to hear that the Onyx is using tech that is just now ready! It'll definitely be top of the line! Thanks CX! Again.

I just played with a dummy Onyx at Best Buy. Definitely has a Curve-type feel to it but appears to be a more solid build. Coming from a Bold, the keyboard is different and it is quite a bit smaller than the Bold's. But I'm excited about it. Power of the Bold in a smaller package, better camera, etc. The rep told me his guess is that AT&T will introduce it in a month or two since he already has the dummy. Can't wait!

No it will not be released in a month. It has not even started mass production.

CX, might that have been a Tour dummy? I can't imagine Onyx dummies being out yet.

I would be inclined to agree. I can't see any carrier having dummy units of this device. More than likely it was a 9630.

i cant wait, im getting a bold for 150 off a co-worker, she had it for 2 weeks refurbed working in good order. my contract has been over since feb. but i want to wait on the onyx before re-upping and been using the e71(non att versioni), i love it by the way lol, but i have been wanting the bold for a while now. now i can finally test it and put it up to test with the onyx when available to help me decide which device ill take the 2 year plunge with.

Last I read T-Mobile was supposed to get the Driftwood first,in Sept.If that is still the timeline then the Onyx in Winter 09' makes sense.
