-------------What is it?-------------
StormSlider is the most popular 3rd party locking application for the blackberry platform. This application will provide you with the slide to unlock feature like that of the iPhone and iPod touch.

-------------Free vs Paid?-------------
The free version: is the typical unlock app with no features. The free version won't activate when the screen dims out and it wont activate when you're on a call. You will have to click on the lock icon anytime you would like to use it. The free version doesn't allow the use of a password either.

Paid Version: offers a lot of features over the free version. You no longer have to click on the app icon to launch it. The app will launch by itself based on what options you have set. You can set it up to launch when you start the phone, when the screen dims out or even while you're on a call. You also have the added security of adding a password to the paid version. When ever you slide to unlock your phone you will be presented with a keypad where you must enter your 4 digit code to unlock the app. You're also able to add a custom background and choose from 20+ customizable options.

just purchased it, downloaded and installed it. Did a battery pull. Works ok. The slider seems to go slowly and gets stuck in the middle. When it unlocks it almost looks like slow motion when the lock goes away. I am sure that dmg will address all problems and come out with a perfect version for the storm2. Right now i am glad that it locks when the screen goes dim.

Hmm this is strange I haven't noticed any of these issues.

Have you tried doing another battery pull and see if this resolves the issue?

When you install the app for the first time it's best to do a battery pull.

I will be watching these issues and I will release a fix if I figure out what is causing your issue.

Yes I created a version of the app to work with only the storm 2. This version of the app was build just for this device and the 5.0 operating system.

With crackberry it will not work sometimes. I'm not sure why that is but it doesn't seem to like new items.

If you us the mobihand link though it should be fine

Oh well coupon codes are gone. At least I got one for the s1 which I still will use on occasion. Congrate to the 30 that got the freebie.

So I downloaded the update to my S2 because I had a S1 and it won't work. It keeps saying it's the wrong edition. Do I have to pay for this app again? Even though I bought it for my S1? .

I'm having the same issue, how can we get the S2 version without repaying??
