Both the app from vision, and the one from google for youtube suck...again both of them. They both are highly pixelated. We will have to wait for google to get a better app that is optimized for blackberry, as they have done for the Iphone.

Yeah, I tried the Vision player and wasn't impressed. The video quality seemed about the same to me, but the interface and user experience is a disaster with it. It's slow, the touch interface doesn't work well, and it requires more work to use. Delete! Sorry PK!

Buy an iphone if u want that. Remember youtube streams on 3gp. Lower quality. Iphone h,264 means that crisp looking feel. But that's only on WiFi. Exclusive deal with iphone tha youtube gave em.

The Palm Pre's youtube streaming is also stellar. The mobile version of Youtube it loads is much better (I don't know if was specifically optimized for the Pre), and the quality puts the Storm's to even further shame---no lie, the quality is on par with the Storm's built-in Media Player. The fact that there is no workaround to get the BB Browser to play the MP4 version of a youtube video is irritating beyond beliefe.

I really hope that a solution will be found shortly, as this is easily one of the most disappointing features of the BB Browser. For now, I suppose we can just keep using KeepVid to download the video and normal quality. My guess is that we will see Flash support from RIM early next year, which will probably be our only real solution.

Wow you guys. How many times does this have to be explained. Its not a Rim issue. It is a youtube issue. They stream 3gp to Blackberries. Once google allows youtube to stream higher quality video to blackberries, it will be fine. Until then, there is nothing RIM can do to make it look better. Stop blaming the freaking phone.

With that reasoning, I find it ironic that Apple would reject Google Voice.

How is that ironic? He's not on the board anymore and hasn't been now for a while.

The youtube app for my Storm runs ok(it could be better though). The only with the app itself i cant blog only watch. To blog I have to go browser mode then I cant watch the video. I hope that changes with the S2.

so this is probably been suggested before, but i am not a huge you tube person. If you tube is streaming .3gp because i reads the phone as a BB then why not change your setting in your phone to identify as a computer not a mobile device?

One of the things I disliked about my Storm was the atrocious youtube video quality. What a letdown. Videos from Youtube look stunning on my Touch. Having said that, MOVIES looked awesome on my Storm. I encode them myself using Handbrake.
