Storm 2 YouTube Quality

I don't know if you guys have crappy YouTube quality with your Storm, but I really hope the Storm 2 comes with some type of improvement that makes YouTube run more smoother and without all the lag. Do you think RIM will fix the problems with YouTube?

RIM can't fix it...its not a problem with the phone. The problem is with YouTube not providing a better player for BB's.

I really would like to see better quality on youtube videos on the Storm 2. I mean the first storm has a beautiful screen...I watch movies on it at work all the time. It's a shame I can't enjoy a youtube video because of the poor quality. Will this..can this be fixed..?

The youtube issue is quite simple. When you bring up you tube on your blackberry, youtube reads your device and sends you the highly compressed and very pixelated .3gp (or whatever crap format that is). When the Jesus phone and ipod touch call up youtube, they are read by youtube as such devices that can display the better quality. Therefore, youtube sends them the better formated version of the video. As it was said earlier, now that Eric Schmidt is off the apple board, they will more than likely be able to be convinced to allow other devices to get the better quality video. This is not RIMs fault.

That is what everyone is talking about. The video quality on that app is TERRIBLE.

Besides its the best you can get......youtubes not going to get any better anytime soon. probably not until skyfire I dont know.

Can browse no probs but when I choose vid it doesn't seem to buffer the file.

I hope rim have some consideration and do fix that issue since they fixed a lot of issues with the storm 1.
