Default Return the Tour for the Curve 2?

Here is my question for everyone:

I recently bought the Tour (about a week ago) for my wife for Christmas. I used her annual upgrade and am waiting to give it to her. However, now that the Curve 2 is out, I was thinking about possibly returning the Tour and getting the Curve 2 for her. A main motivation of mine is that the Wifi on the Curve 2 would be wonderful for her. We get very bad 3g reception in our current apartment. What does everyone think?

Also, do you think I would be able to go into a Verizon store and swap the Tour for a new Curve? The Tour hasn't been activated yet. I bought the Tour for $150 after a $100 MIR (which was just sent in). The phone was bought online but I wouldn't think that would matter.

Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I think you sending in the MIR has committed you to that Tour. Unless anyone else has an option. That's why they always recommend you wait until your return period is over before sending in any rebates. Sorry.

Ah crap. Anyone else have any thoughts? I'd really like to have the option to return the tour.

Thats what I was told from customer serive when I returned my Storm 2. They said they would just subtract the $100 that I'm getting back.

Of course you tend to get a different answer from every rep you talk to, but she better be right as I sent the phone back and I know it was recieved yesterday and signed for.

I could try that. Thanks. Does anyone know the price of the curve 2 when using an annual upgrade? I'm assuming there is no MIR for it yet.

None of the BlackBerry data services operate over the WiFi connection so that won't do you much good. WiFi is primarily for 3rd party apps and the BB Browser when switched to WiFi. No BIS email, BB messenger, etc. will work on wifi. I have had WiFi on two BlackBerry phones (8320 and 8520) and for the most part it is left turned off. I would have gladly switched the WiFi for a gps but when I bought the 8320 I thought WiFi would be useful (and found out later BIS rules) and for us GSM customers there is no gps option yet for the 85XX series.

Are you sure about that? This is taken from the Blackberry website regarding the 8530:

-Wi-Fi access to BlackBerry® Enterprise Server
-Wi-Fi access to BlackBerry® Internet Service

Anyone else have feedback on this?
