Have to be able to log into a TMO account to download it. Why don't you post it to rapidshare or megaupload so the rest of us can get it?

What I know: It's newer.
What I hope: Better battery/memory management; faster OS.

Is it just me or is the download VERY slow?

No noticeable differences so far, so... after having to reset my email and BeeJive accounts, and reset other apps - as well as some of the folder icons in my theme reverting to default (weird)...

(for the time being) THIS turned out to be a complete waste of time. lol No harm done though... off to go slap someone.

*Edit*
After re-downloading the theme, the icons reverted back to theme-specific, so no worries. Hopefully there will be some benefit to this 'upgrade' down the road - at least until the official 5.0 drops.

Very, considering the size. My download time clocked in at 7:46

Download time, including backup, was just under 10 (9:58)

haha it's getting worse!
I can't install. DM and Apploader don't seems to notice the upgrade.

EDIT: It's upgrading now. Somehow, the deleted Vendor.xml 'returned from the bin'.

I see it has upgrades for all core functions and a browser upgrade. Will we have faster internet now? Is java support hidden there? Tabbed browsing? heheh

When I say I notice ZERO changes, I mean ZERO changes. lol Possibly better battery life, but that will require a full day's usage to determine. Doesn't seem faster... but I'm just using my eyes - no 'official' measurements or anything. Eh... I'm always down for the most recent versions of a stable OS, so no biggie. It took me longer to reset my accounts and such than the actual download and install - like I said, so far it's proving to have been a mild waste of time, but oh well.

*apparently* there was some bug with the browser, or something.

not really sure. i don't think anyone REALLY knows what the fixes were. just google 8520 4.6.1.314 -- i don't think it's anything major.

It feels a tad faster here.
Free memory changed from 123.4 to 124.1. Not much of a change, but something.

Browser is still slow, but seems to be trying to load larger chuncks at a time, dunno, could be just me.

What do you guys think?

Okay, so after a near full-day of running this, I notice (possibly reaching here) a slight battery life increase - then again, I've never been one to have battery issues. Maybe luck, or the fact I don't intentionally run that much on it all at once.

Still, one thing I DID notice is that there seems to be a bit of hangup and occasional freezing. The lag surprised me, since the file itself is smaller than the .305 I was running prior. 2 freezes so far, once after downloading something (never happened before) and once after clearing my cache - that one froze for a good 3 minutes. I took the battery cover off, and magically it came back to life. I wonder if it knows...

Other than that, I can't say there's anything major here. Pretty stable - hopefully the freezing was more of an isolated incident - or two.
