Default Will the Tour have cool location based services like the Pre?

I was playing with my buddy's new palm pre today on our way to a soccer game and i must say the interface/OS, what ever you wanna call it, was great!! It was smooth, fast, and fun. A example of something i thought was cool was that when he entered his Facebook information its took all his friend's info and put it to his phone. So if you were his friend on FB and had your phone number in your info he then had it on his phone

another cool thing was when he wanted Starbucks in the area we weren't sure of he typed in Starbucks, hit Google maps, and it knew his location already and had all the surrounding Starbucks.

i was impressed personally. I really liked it. Obliviously though i cant get a pre since i have big red. So my question is. . will the tour do cool stuff like this. . . or will 5.0 when it comes out?

Minus the soccer game, a Blackberry Curve 8330 running on 4.5 on Sprint does the Facebook sync and GPS location/search too.

1. As the poster above me said, ALL4.5 OS blackberrys have Facebook sync. More like all Berrys running Facebook 1.5+ have sync.

2. On Sprint there are a bunch of programs that would locate you and tell you what is around you. I liked Microsoft Live.

On Verizon, you wouldn't be able to do that with a Curve (because the gps is locked down), however my understanding is the Tour's wont be.

EDIT: The "visuals" is a "Palm" thing. They just released the Pre which features their new OS, with a lot of improvements. Sprint got the first shot at the new Palm phones, but AT&T isn't far behind, and Verizon is rumored to get the Pre 6 months after whatever Sprint's release was.

Okay thanks alot. I loved the Pre's "visuals" just the way it worked was very fun and nice.

i guess the tour is like any other keyboard berry right? Click the wheel . . a dull menu pops up on the right. . highlight what you want and click again.

hmmm

Yup, pretty much.

You could always wait until the Pre comes to Verizon. Or maybe when the Android sets start coming they will offer you the similar intuitive/flashy OS you are looking for.

Of course, if you want a Berry the Storm 2 should be coming eventually. I'd imagine before the Pre.

eh idk. . . =[

i like the tour. . i just like the flashy stuff over the pop up menu. Not to say BB isn't strong or anything its just a preference. i honestly cant wait 6 more months for the pre or how ever long it may be. Iv been able to upgrade since like November. I'm getting tired.
