Sprint Blackberry Tour Available In-Store On Release Day!

I just spoke to three Sprint Reps regarding the Tour, and they all confirmed that the Tour will be released IN-STORE, online, and via telesales. This was great, because now all of us who wanted to have the phone in hand when we purchase it will be able to flash it off to make others envy us

I don't think it's really that we "were not supposed to know that", but more so that people were taking Twitter (groan) as face value and assuming that physical storefronts would not have the device on July 12th. I'm not advocating taking a CSR's word for it at all, but I just haven't seen anything official that would squash that hope.

The Tour is launching in stores 8/2. The July 12th release is going to be thru telesales and online only.

Nobody has provided a solid source of the August 2nd date for the Sprint tour so far..

The Curve didn't launch at stores on launch day last year until a few weeks later. I had to go through telesales to get mine on launch & Sprint will probably take the same approach for the launch of the Tour. I would LOVE to be wrong though....

I'm the manager of a corporate retail store and our weekly communication (the Playbook) shows that. I hope that they'll change it. I wasn't expecting the Tour until September and here we are waiting for it in July.

So as of now, the Tour will only be available on July 12 thru phone/online. So, what time on the 12th will they start accepting orders? 12am? 8am? I can't wait to get my Tour so Aug 2 is just too far away. Okay, I'm being a little dramatic now.

I called back today and 2 Sprint Reps AND their supervisors CONFIRMED it would be IN-STORE on July 12 and via telesales and online

Well I have a buddy who works for Sprint the store I would get mine from. He is expecting them to be on Saturdays shipment 7/11 but they will not sell them until 7/12. So if he gets them in great I will be grabbing 2 if not I will be ordering Sunday morning.
