Edit:If I'm not mistaken isn't support for BES 5.0 on OS 5.0 devices?

According to Sith or Radio, he was the one who stated the 4.7 OS was made specifically for the Storm.

4.7.X.XXX OS builds are not solely for touch screen devices. Hmmm looks like spec wise the 9630 beats the 8900. Damn. It's sell and upgrade time.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure CX said the 9630 will be shipping with 4.7.

I was the first device to get 4.7 but that doesn't mean it was written just for the touchscreen. I can see how it could have been implied at first but as the phones continue to evolve they number the OS's as they see fit.

I remember hearing it will be 4.7.1.XX but I also heard that it maybe 5.0 if it comes out after the BES 5.0 upgrade. Who knows?

I guess the one question that is still out about the specs is WiFi. BG says "No", and CX says "Yes". Now that new pics of the device are out, it would be nice to hear a more official response to the WiFi question.

Let's put it this way: Does the 9630 in the pics have Wifi?

We don't know since the phone is not powered on and there is not a screen shot yet.

According to JRSCCIVIC98 the 9630 is for Verizon and it does not have WIFI. I truley hope that it does.

I sure hope one of those UMTS bands turns out to be 1700 so this thing will get 3G on T-Mobile USA, but I'm not holding my breath...

Most likely this is a Storm (9530) with a new form factor. By which i mean its a 'world phone' can run the NAM 3G bands but they are locked down.
