Known issues with OS 5.0.0.591 for Verizon Tour 9630

Making this post to send to Verizon Support. If anyone knows of other issues, please feel free to add them.

-Severely reduced battery life
-Browser clicking and zooming in Blackberry native browser takes 2-5 clicks before getting a result.
-audio clips received through MMS get "stuck" to the end of ringtone alerts, even if they've been deleted. Only known fix is to do a battery pull.
-Reboot time greatly increased.

-Bluetooth does not auto start on power up.
-Checking the bluetooth box under enable connections does not "stick". This appears to be random.
-Bluetooth speaker volume is very low when connect to handsfree devices.

I'm so glad I grabbed .419 and stuck with it. I feel bad for all the people who waited for 5.0 and got this POS

Give it some time. I had batter drain the first day but now it's back to normal.

My reboot time is much quicker and the phone overall is much faster and more responsive.

So the OS improves with age? From what I've been reading on crackberry it seems that v5.0 either works real good or it's garbage. I'm going to wait till verizon does some patching befor upgrading.

Also add:

- Voicemail alerts get threaded into SMS conversations from same phone number, disabling ability to send any new SMS text messages to that phone number unless the entire thread is deleted

- Individual voicemail alerts which have been threaded into SMS conversations can not be removed from the message list unless the entire thread is deleted

It has been observed that some people with custom themes do not seem to have these specific problems; but both of the themes that Verizon provides ("Precision Zen" and "Verizon Zen") exhibit the problematic behavior.

Good choice! I downgraded to 419 after a day of 591.

Here are my issues:

-Very poor battery life
-Pandora won't work properly (looked for an upgrade, no luck yet)
-Media player won't play 90% of my MP3s
-BBM won't send messages
-Browser click and zoom issues
-Poorer reception (less bars, more dropped calls)

same here...i had 591 since it became official...i just went to this driphter v8.1 based off 419. seems good thus far.

What's the issue with Berryweather 5.0 and the banner feature? I use and really like the banner option in BeWeather but it won't seem to work when I upgrade my custom themes (in my themebuilder) to OS 5.0. I searched for the topic, but struck out. I'm hoping this is a known issue with a resolution.

Add these two:

1. One is a bricking of the phone that say something to the affect of "return your phone to your store"

2. MMS message with audio attachments. After you open the attachment and close it...(completely closed as well). Your phone rings, you answer, when the call is over and you hang up, it starts to play the audio file. A definite security risk for personal and business reasons.

I did as well, but had issues with Google Sync after going back (I didn't before upgrading to .419) so I had to upgrade to .591 again. I think I'm gonna try .419 one more time.

when i go to send an sms and type in the persons name it says no contact available so now i have to manually scroll through all of my contacts just to get to the person
