This is only half true. If you're supposed to have the device, it will be fine. Not all pre-release devices are cut. But yes this one would be. I just wanted to make clear that not all pre-release devices are black-listed. And some make it through any way.

The funniest thing about that listing is that the pictures he has listed are the one that showed up on CrackBerry not too long ago.

Quite simple. RIM does not lock the devices, the carriers do. If this is a pre release device than it wont have carrier branding and wont be locked.

hello, i live in Etobicoke is pick up an option on this phone? Also CDMA & GSM are different so how can they both work on same network? One more thing, do you have an ESN available so I can verify with Telus that it will work and that it isn't a stolen or lost phone? Sarah

email from him:
Hi There I will work with verizon us Only sorry i have to add in discription and ANY GSM LIKE FIDO ROGERS AT&T CINGULAR

from me:
So is pick up still an option?
It's probably a Verizon test unit, so the CDMA radios are locked to Verizon, BUT the GSM part will work for any GSM network, you just need a SIM. It's probably EDGE only thou like the Storm.

Yee-haa. If it smells funky, and it looks funky, step around or over it.
