A Different Situation

Just a quick scenario question. Whats my best bet? My dad who is the main account holder will be out of town from the 6th til the 20th. We get a corporate discount and therefore can not pre-order through the Verizon website right now. If I were to go into the store on the 12th with my mom, would I be able to purchase the Tour? Or do I need my dad since he is the main person on the account? My plan is up and I am using my NE2 to get the phone.

Have your dad add your mom as an account manager. Or have yourself added.

They'll probably ask for the last 4 digits of your dad's social. I'm an additional line on my mom's plan and anytime I go into Verizon to have something done involving the account they ask me for the last 4 digits of her social security.

You may need your dad to sign or just have your mom become an account holder as well. I'm one along with my dad. Lucky me :P

He has to call in and tell them to add her as one of the primary users that has full access to the account.

It shouldn't take long at all. I'd call the 800 922 0204 number, but that's just me... I'm not sure of any differences, I just prefer it.

OP, is your line the main one on the account? I thought the NE2 discount only applied to the main line, and every other line on the account only gets the 2-year pricing when they upgrade? Can anyone clarify this?

Yes, only the primary gets the NE2 pricing. The secondary lines pay the two year pricing and then get what ever rebate is available for the device they are purchasing.


OP, when your dad adds you or your mother as an account manager they will ask him to set up a pass word as well. So you or your mom will need to know that when you go in.

Pretty sure you need to call Verizon and ask them.
