If it had a touchscreen I'm sure Salomondrin would have posted a video about that. He even said he got Tour from a carrier so I'm assuming that it's the final production unit.

The article is either bogus or completely referring to another device and not the 9630.

It's completely obvious that The Tour 9630 is a different device, unless RIM paid off CrackBerry, BGR, every single device tester, and every single person who purchased a Tour off eBay. Likely? I think not.

Salomondrin's video was edited like a hollywood teaser. Clipped the moment the Vodaphone carrier screen brightened. So who knows what happened after that?

speaking of which heres a radioguinea quote that appeared in that thread:

Touch screens are cool, but not sure press. I'm not a fan of constant dust under the screen. Plus many Tour's have surfaced without a touch screen so I find it hard to believe this. Perhaps on another BB at a later time.

Gid this is killing me. I was dead set on the tour but now I'm not sure if this rumor is real or not. This is the second thread today about there being a touchscreen tour.

I haven't used the SurePress whatever but having a touch as well as the rollerball can't be bad? Using touch to get around the screen has got to be faster than the ball, and if they keep the ball as well if nothing else but to play Brickbreaker, then why the hating on the touch option?

phone arena has always called the tour 9030 but on this part of the site - RIM BlackBerry Tour 9030 (Phone Arena) it calls it the 9030/9630 at the top...

I see the OP and the rest of the thread as nothing more but to galvanize speculation. Phone Arena is full of S*** and always has been. Even if the device is real, I'm pretty sure it won't be called the tour.

Haha, there are pictures floating around of the "Tour" being listed in Big Red's computer systems and whatnot.

I honestly think you have no good reason to doubt the name, other than being obstinate. If the name ISN'T "Tour," then I'll eat my pants.
