Default Anyone having trouble with trying to preorder online?

I talked to a CSR today and he said I could preorder online at the 1-yr price ($270). I decided to preorder later in the day but when I log into my Verizon, it only allows me to upgrade at the month-to-month price. I then did the chat with an online CSR but they said they couldn't help me since Telesales was already closed (I guess they need to talk to Telesales first?)

Does anyone know if I can still preorder without talking to Telesales, or am I stuck waiting til Monday to preorder?

Not sure. I would talk to Telesales though. To be honest, not sure what the difference is if you pre-orderded today or waited untill Monday. Either way, the Release is on the 12th of this month.

I can tell you that there was an issue that was discovered but customers on VZW who wanted to Upgrade....the preordering process was only available for add a lines or new service...I think they may have fixed the issue so just check back....

I'm in the same boat. Since I have an employer discount, I think that I'll have to wait until the 12th...which is lame. I have thought about taking off the discount, ordering the phone, and having them reapply the discount.

Well I called yesterday and they said I could preorder. Unfortunately I waited til after normal business hrs to try it online, cuz it wouldn't work.

Now today I called VZW CSRs twice and they both told me that I could not upgrade cuz I'm an existing customer. I would have to wait to preorder til the 12th! At that point, I'll just go buy it in the store! I've been pleased with Verizon's service, but nobody knows anything when you call 611 for info!

How is everyone else preordering online? I was told I could ONLY preorder online if I was adding another line, not just upgrading my phone.

I upgraded my phone on an existing line. I got it at the 2 year price of 199.99 with an additional $50 taken off.

No, that's exactly what I was looking for. I can only select the month-to-month pricing. I'll be calling VZW again on Monday to see if I can find anything out. Otherwise then it's off to the store on the 13th to get it...

I think the problem I'm having is that I started this new contract in Nov 2008 so I think the system is seeing my account as not available for any type of discounted pricing. CSRs at the store and on the phone have told me that I was eligible for the 1-yr pricing (not sure if all the complaining about the Storm had anything to do with that) so I have a feeling that I'm gonna have to buy it in the store, or try again to preorder over the phone.
