| | Just how is Storm better than 3GS???
I run both phones and for me the 3GS beats the Storm hands down.
Maybe I have missed some intrinsic part of owning a Storm but the two are simply not comparable.
The Storm is slow, I have to pull every day, and I dont really have anything on it. I made the mistake of loading apps and it was dreadful.
With the new OS it seems better but still not a patch on 3GS.
Have I missed something?
Andrew

The Storm isn't better than the 3G(s), it's just different.
Well, the Storm is a better phone (better call clarity and such), the email services are better, it has the clicktastic screen (which is also more vibrant than the iPhone's), it has a removable battery, and a camera flash.
But beyond that, it's no better and the OS sucks azz on the Storm.
Basically it comes down to this. If you use your phone more as a phone and a communication device, then the Storm is the winner. If you use it more as a multimedia device then the iPhone is the winner. However, there is no doubt at all that the iPhone rulez the Storm in terms of quality control and software development...there's just no comparison.
We have both and both are probably soon to be replaced by Android phones though. Android is the future me thinks...
Oh yeah, .328 is a mess...RIM dropped the ball developing it and then VZW went and actually released it, apparently without actually testing it. Oops...

Stop trying to rationalize. Bottom line, the Storm is the worst smartphone ever built, period. No comparison to the 3Gs.

iphone:
no multitasking ability beyond what steve jobs says
no customization of wallpaper/etc without voiding the warranty.
proprietary software that prevents you from doing anything remotely functional without steve jobs' handwritten signature (jokes)
anything from RIM:
slow
antiquated software
not as many apps, but there are very few that you would actually USE for something that aren't available (namely things like ESPN, pizza hut, corporate sponsor apps. more advertising than anything)
truncated email
SLOOWWWWWWWW software development
for me the multi tasking was the deal breaker. i love multi-tasking, and i love email. my device is intended to be the "one stop shop, all in one" way to contact me. i have about 20 different mediums of communication, and they all filter into my storm. but lately, it's not cutting it. so for now
android>RIM>anything apple
except caramel apples. those are god damned delicious and nobody can deny that!

I love my Storm. My cousin loves his iPhone. Neither of us is wrong. Well, he might be a little wrong because he loves AT&T, too.

Stop bringing this convo up. Different styles of phones period. In my preference I email also, I don't like the visual keyboard on the iphone that's why I have a storm. I enjoy it a lot and it works fine for me, no complaints. So enough bashing each phone. apple computers have there bugs just like windows computers has problems. Same with these two phones. Post after post people always bring this comparison up.

Andrew | Plain and simple, it's the network AT&T sucks in my area, don't care what phone you have if the network isn't good then not much value in the phone. With the latest OS Storm is working GREAT for me. Compared to 3GS, Storm does everything I want, and call quality is superior to anything 3GS throws at it.

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | The Storm is more vibrant...the iPhone looks kinda washed out. It's not a bad screen, just not as nice as the Storm, IMO. Neither one of them is exactly state of the art...
