Default Goodbye Storm...Goodbye Blackberry

welcome back HTC.

sorry to say but in about a week or 2 i will be leaving the Blackberry community and heading back to HTC world, ( not that i really left since i still own a Fuze ), but im up for a upgrade and decided that the Storm really isnt working out for me, after 8months of trials and tribulations.

Why the HTC Snap/Ozone .. check out the specs, and you'll see why ( credit due to bgr for getting this info ) :

Was the Storm your first BB? If so, I'm sorry that the Storm was your first "taste" of what BB and RIM has to offer. The other devices are truly...not Storm like . I hope you decide to give BB another chance in the future just with a more reliable device. Good luck with HTC!

Wow, honestly, you're choosing a WinMO "Standard" handset? Big mistake, not because it's Windows, but because it's Standard and not Pro. Enjoy the cutdown functions and not being able to create Office docs (you'll just be able to view and edit). No option to change that either. Good luck I guess. That phone's a bit on the low scale really. If you're gona bail, at least make it a good choice, which personally I don't view this as one.

Not bitter, just realistic. That phone is in no way an upgrade. People can get whatever they want, but I personally think that handset is a step down. Maybe you need to look at the specs again or something.

You can't be sure about the email aspect. If he's connecting to an Exchange server, it'll be Push because of ActiveSync.

I've had bb's before and to this date I still use my winmo device. The only reason why I use a bb now is because I was hoping the Storm would be the device of all devices and I wouldn't need a back-up, but as we all know the storm has been a major let down.

Functionality winmo blows bb out the water, and that's being non biased that's just plain facts.

WIFI was always been an issue with me. There's been a few times where I've traveled and I've forgotten my air card and been s.o.l with my bb, but yet my fuze has come thru for the win.

I saw another user mentioned no flash for the camera..honestly I think the last time I used flah on my device is when I got it, just to see how it worked. Things like that are not of grave importance, its more of am I getting what I'm paying for, and in the bb world I'm not.

Whatever works best for you, but there is no way i would go back to WM. I have never needed a "backup" device. I sold my old phone less than a week with the storm running on .75. Its far from a let down to me, but does have room for improvement.

Where are the facts that prove the functionality of WM blows BB out of the water?

The camera thing is a personal thing that i cant really argue with, some use it some dont.

Anyway as long as you are happy with the new phone then it doesnt matter.

Yeah my friend has the htc snap on sprint. Its a cool lil phone, win mo 6.1 on there. Resembles a blackberry on first glance or a q. Why not wait for the tour?

As far as facts go..the way I did it is thru phonescoop.com just compare the flagship phones for each ( bold for blackberry and touch pro for HTC ) and ull see the major differences. Also when reading thru both forums , cb.com and xda-dev.com there's no contest app, theme, user friendliness even os/rom updates are more frequent and reliable.

And as far as the tour goes..ehhh I'm not really interested to be honest. At this point bb has left me with a sour taste for things.

But once again..thanks guys, hey at least I'm not getting an iphone LOL!
