So can u only contact BBM 5.0 ers.. and How is this supposed to work,, do u hit scan and it auto scans it or do u have to take a pic of it? Please help :P

1) u can contact other bbm ppl w/o 5.0 (but u will have to manually enter the code)

2) u view the barcode > the other person selects "scan barcode from other bb" and u put the camera at the barcode > it will auto scan

The barcode is your visual version of your pin. bbm 5.0 has a scanning feature that lets you scan a person barcode for them to become your contact.
