| | Phone doesn't ring that long, can that be changed?
Hi,
I probably am double posting this, because I'm sure it's been asked before, but I was wondering if there is a way to increase the length of how long the ringer rings for. I've noticed that I miss calls pretty frequently due to the ringer length being so short. Is there anyone that can point me to where to go to change this? I'd appreciate it.
Thanks in advance,
Matt

from what others have posted it is something your carrier has to do on their end.
you cannot do it from your device.

You can try using a ringer that is longer but the number of rings cannot be changed on the BB.

Yes. call Nextel support and ask to have your ringer extended. They will extend it 15 seconds. If you get a rep that says they can't do it, call back and get a rep who knows what they're doing. I got it done in 1 call, it took my buddy 2 calls to get it done. It basically doubles your ring to 30 seconds.

this may be a little of topic, but is it because you cannot hear the phone in time?
If so try vibandring. It makes your phone ring and vibrate at the same time instead of one after the other.

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | Did it cost you any extra mooney per month or was it free to add? I wouldn't mind it if it was free. If it costs money, well, people can leave me a message or they can call back.

11:32:18 AM Stephen it's my understanding that it can't be done in the phone...it needs to be done on the carrier side
11:34:03 AM Jamie G I apologize, we are not able to change the length of the ring. The time it takes for incoming calls to forward or go to voicemail is a total of 23 seconds, no matter which ringer is active.
