Default Boosters and bis?

Is there a way you can use The BIS service from BB on the boost network? Ive tried to log on the Nextel BIS site over the air and it gives me an error msg. saying it has beeen deactivated or turned off by the server.. I called the Nextel number it gave and when i enter my ph number it sends me to Boost.

If you want BIS, get the real deal (Nextel). Remember that Blackberries are not supposed to be on Boost.

I can see your points about Nextel and Boost But really There the same Company They Use the same Network. My Internet is just as fast as Nextels and I pay a 3rd of the price. Why switch just to receive emails on my phone. Thats what Yahoo and google are for.

Isn't it kinda like asking the difference between a H1 and H3, I mean, they both used to be made by GM, what's the difference? Or how about a 747 and 727, both Boeing products. What about a pearl and new bold, both blackberries, so why is the 9700 more expensive?

whats so special about bis anyway just use google.. it pushes emails to your blackberry the same way bb email does. then use instango for im..

if i didnt know anything and i had a choice between bb with bis for $100+ or

bb with boostmobile for $50 and can use google to do the same thing.. i would pick boost each time.

Google does not "push" emails, the app checks every specified period of time for new messages.

What are you talking about a BB w/ BIS for $100+? I pay $60 a month for an Everything Data 450 w/ Any mobile Anytime after taxes and a 25% discount which almost anyone can get.

Is that $60 flat? or $60 with state tax, city tax, so and so tax? and also unlimited is way better than $450. Dont get me wrong there is alot of benefits of being with a carrier, such as the costumer service, and the insurance and such. However in the case of price of loosing a email service the boost way is better than the other way.

oh and whether gmail pushes or request for the email is not much of a difference than bb email. I tested it, it takes a good 10 sec of sending an email that i receive ota on my device on boost. So really when its all said and done BIS not that special

BIS/BES:
you get your email nativity to your phone (i got my email on my BB before i did on my computer)
you get a @sprint.blackberry.com email
you get BBM (you boosters dont know what your missing cause you dont get it)
you get the ability to add insurance
you get customer service, for account changes
apps that work

Boost:
have to use third party apps to get mail
have to use third party apps to get online (no wifi)
no insurance
no customer service
no BBM
no @sprint.blackberry email
every update you have to reload service books
not all apps work

so for some it is worth NOT using Boost. i know i would not use it. my BB just sits there. ya i could hook it up to boost but why?

0 unless you use a 3rd party app (then you are limited to the amount allowed by the app)
unlimited with BIS/BES

i used gmail before my bb so, no loss to me i just get it on my phone now ya

i can get on line through the bb browser, but choose not to use it becuase i like bolt, and

i have wifi access plus im a optimum wifi costumer so i have instant wifi and many hotspots, and i live in ny so wifi almost everywhere, way better than 3g

no insurance but i paid 180 for my phone. and i have a tough body glove case. i just dropped it off a ladder 5 min ago 9ft high on tile and didnt even skip a beat. if i really need another one thats what ebay and craigslist is for. $50 through insurance just to get a knock of phone, is not worth it. the money you spend annually on insurance, you can pay for a brand new phone with.

got boost costumer service which is good for billing issues but not for phone, but hey you got me there. But if i have a prob crackberry can fix it

didnt use bb messenger before dont have friends that use it .. there for dont need it. the 2 family members i have that have bb with sprint and tmobile dont even use bb messenger.

again been a gmail user for about 3 years now so its just a plus for me that i can use it on my phone now.

dont really mind reloading the service book guess thats the price

yeah not all apps work but fortunately for me the apps i need work

so really are we missing out from just not having bbm and bbemail, hmm you might think so, but from what i get from my phone i will never go in another contract again..
