8350i on regular sprint
I noticed that 8350i BB looks exactly like the 8330... Can it work on regular sprint plans or do you need some kind of Nextel thing???

Sprint/Nextel are the same company and you can have the 8350i on any sprint plan that includes data.

Keep in mind that if a plan does not include Direct-Connect plans, you need to add them, most does have them.

you cannot use an 8350 on the sprint side. sprint uses CDMA, nextel uses IDEN..... different networks.

The answer is no. Although they are similar, they have different radios, iDen vs.CDMA, Operating Systems, and layouts. The 8350 is also larger than the 8330. They cannot be switched. Sorry.

Perhaps you can work out a trade with someone. Happens all of the time.

a friend of mine had an 8350i and asked me if he can connect it to boost. when i looked at the phone it said sprint . than i opened up the back cover and took the battery out and no place to insert the sim card. i have also seen a couple of people selling them on craigslist here in florida.

Here's the 8350i on Sprint:
BlackBerry® Curve™ 8350i (Sprint) | LetsTalk.com

Bottom line is YOU CANNOT USE THE 8350i on Sprint network(cdma). Boost uses the same service as the Nextel side (iDen).
