Hey man.. great walkthrough! I have been wondering how I was gonna do this. Thanks again! How much space does your average movie take?

Step Brothers which is around 100 minutes was 397MB. "300" was about 117 minutes the file size was 473 MB. Those are the only 2 movies I have done so far.

I just connect my phone with mass storage mode enabled. I open up my memory card via My Computer, navigate to the video folder, then paste the file in there. Disconnect my phone, open up media/video and there it is!

I believe it will. I have not done this so I am not certain, but if you follow the handbrake walk through part of my section and instead of choosing the Video_TS folder as your source, click the Video File option. Navigate to the .avi you want to convert and then select it. Use the settings I specified and it should work. Let me know how it goes.

When you encoded yours at 500, how would you say the video quality compares to the Babylon AD trailer?

Also, is the DVDFab just a decrypting program then?

Thanks again for the how-to. I could get the DVD to my PC, but never knew what to do with all the chapters in the Video_TS folder, and what settings to use with them.
Yes DVDFab is a decrypting program. The only program I could find that does every movie, including Sony DVDs. Like I stated in my OP I kept the bitrate at 500 because I thought the movies still looked stunning on my Storm and IMO could not see any distortion at all. If you have a keener eye and want a higher bitrate, then by all means go for it. I just prefer to keep my file size a tad smaller to allow for more movies.

I would say at this time, no. I do not know of any program which decrypts Blu Rays. Plus you would need a blu ray player on your computer. I would research how to decrypt a Blu Ray disc then you should be able to use handbrake to encode that file in to a file that the Storm can read. But long story short, this walk through is only for the old fashion DVD.

Thanks for the instructions.. first time BB owner. I followed the instructions but the file seems like it was over 3gb on the media card. when I saved it on my c drive there was an audio file, video file, and the actual file for the name of the movie.

Well I just finished Empire Strikes Back. I used all the settings that Matt recommended except that I left the video bit rate defaulted at 1500 (Matt had it at 500). When all was done, the size of the movie was 1.39GB. HUGE!!! Absolutely stunning video quality! Like ****-your-pants good quality, but just too big so I'm gonna redo it at a bit rate of 500 to see how much smaller it is, and how the quality differs.

I do have a question about the audio bit rate setting; each time I go to encode a movie in Handbrake, it defaults to 160. Will I notice any difference between 64 and 160kbps?
