My understanding of memory leaks is that the "free file memory" found on the status screen decreases excessively. If I'm wrong on this would someone PLEASE correct me, as it renders this post kind of useless.
My memory just after installing WB around 2 or 3 this afternoon I had 39MB of free file memory. It dropped to about 26 over the next few hours, then hovered around 25 for a while. A little before 10 pm it plummeted down to 16 MB, and then rebounded back to 20MB five minutes later.
The phone unfortunately froze when I placed it back in the holster (I can tell because of when the clock stopped), so a batt pull was necessary.
After the pull around 10:20 the free file memory was back to 39 MB, and now an hour later it is just barely below that... still above 38.
I guess I have a couple of questions... Do memory leaks usually cause fluctuation like this? It was definitely bouncing up and down a bit. Also, I know the previous build was less problematic and ad-free... but did it also cause memory leaks? If so I probably won't install it, just wait for another update that (fingers crossed) doesn't have this problem.
Bottom line is I hope this is resolved because I LOVE this app... having the temp and conditions on my homescreen, the GPS locating, being able to program other locations, radar maps... its AWESOME!
So that's where I'm at. If anyone has any suggestions/corrections to this post, I'm all ears.
Thanks!
PS still running 4.7.0.75 and the only other app I've installed is TwitterBerry | Memory will move up and down all the time as it is used and then released by the OS. Everyone is fixated on this memory issue and, in your case, appears to be a non-issue. I would suggest turning off that GPS fix that you like so much until you really need it, because that is a battery drain and unless you are traveling all over the place all the time then you should only turn it on when necessary. Just manually enter your zip code and leave it at that, and your good to go. When your phone get to the point where the available memory is so low that it starts deleting your messages and call logs, then you know your in trouble.

It used to work and I'm not sure when it stopped. BB Maps works fine and precaching the maps doesn't make any difference. I tried the new version on App Center but ended up reverting back to the beta because it didn't fix the problem (and the ads were annoying)
