-------------What is it?-------------
StormSlider is the most popular 3rd party locking application for the blackberry platform. This application will provide you with the slide to unlock feature like that of the iPhone and iPod touch.

-------------Free vs Paid?-------------
The free version: is the typical unlock app with no features. The free version won't activate when the screen dims out and it wont activate when you're on a call. You will have to click on the lock icon anytime you would like to use it. The free version doesn't allow the use of a password either.

Paid Version: offers a lot of features over the free version. You no longer have to click on the app icon to launch it. The app will launch by itself based on what options you have set. You can set it up to launch when you start the phone, when the screen dims out or even while you're on a call. You also have the added security of adding a password to the paid version. When ever you slide to unlock your phone you will be presented with a keypad where you must enter your 4 digit code to unlock the app. You're also able to add a custom background and choose from 20+ customizable options.

V4: Main Menu > Options > StormSlider Options.

I was just on your site and saw this. I wish it was a thunder bolt and not an earth. Kind of special for the Storm!

I like this app and installing it as we speak...
But i have a couple requests about it. It would be awesome to have this app to automatically lock your phone when you make a call like talk lock.
It would just make it more useful and appeal to more people. Also, it would be nice to be able to change the background to some blackberry logo or something to keep those iPhone users from saying we're just trying to be like me.

nice, were you able to force the detection to only in the space provided or will it detect your finger anywhere on the screen like screen lock?

You can slide anywhere on the screen. I think that's how the iPhone does it?

I can restrict where it senses your finger swipe though if people would rather have it like that? It's only like 2 more lines of code.
