Default Google Maps and Poynt

Is anyone else having a problem after you find something in poynt and you try to map out directions in google maps?

Every time i try to get directions in google maps it just refreshes back to the set starting point and ending point. I notice that poynt is not using street addresses but longitude and latitude coordinates?

I am running v3.2.1 for Google Maps and v1.4.2.72 for Poynt. When I map a listing from Poynt in Google Maps, it only shows latitude and longitude (not the listing name or address). I can get directions to the listing just fine, but it bothers me that I can't see the listing name or address. Is there a way to fix this?

Default Is Poynt even needed w/ GMaps?

I thought GMaps was improved to a level where there really isn't a benefit to using Poynt for directions? I was hearing people were using Poynt more or less for Yellowpages searches, e.g. is there any benefit any longer to running Poynt on GMaps?

Make sure your GPS is enabled...
[Options]>[Advanced Options]>[GPS]
-GPS Data Source: Device GPS
-GPS Services: Location On
-Location Aiding: Enabled

And on google maps
[Menu]>[Help]
-If it reads "Enable My Location", this means it is off. Click to enable.
-If it reads "Disable My Location", you're good. It's on.

did all that. It's infuriating. Poynt used to be my "go to" app, now it's unusable.

Google map also has local search and reviews. I think we are getting to the point that we probably don't need Poynt in between.

Google Maps is good for searching for locations. But poynt does so so much more. Last I checked, google maps doesn't utilize Citisearch, Opentable, Cinemascope and the other search utilities that poynt does.

Google Maps is a searchable map. Poynt is designed for a different purpose, with one feature being what google maps can provide. Big difference. If all you use Poynt for is locating businesses on a map, well then yeah, uninstall it as its just a redundant app.
