I would love it if i could even see my phone in normal color but i havent in a week. and yes i do have a friend with a pc and i ATTEMPTED to install and downgrade my phone so i could return it but even that wont work. its so much effort for something that is completely not worth it. im going to return it and get an env that phone never messed up and always worked. i was stupid to try this phone and especially to wait this long for an upgrade that still has not come. i would love to get an iphone i can just plug it into my computer and everything automatically updates, no software to download, no application loaders, tons of free apps and a functional phone. not this slow pile of junk called a "phone."

I stuck with verizon because i love the service but this phone is making it quite difficult to stay with them. and i cant switch to another Blackberry because i have a mac. and it doesnt work. not to mention i cant return it because i have a leaked OS which they wont refund. so i highly advise anyone reading this without a mac to not purchase any BBerry product and DEFINITELY not ever purchase a blackberry storm.

I went into this phone with optimism and confidence on how much better this phone was then the iphone and i tried to make it work, but its so difficult, and not worth it. sorry to come in here and complain about your beloved blackberries. but for me it doesnt make sense.

I would say the Storm is the worst phone I have ever owned. I support quite a few phones at work and the Storm is the laughing stock.

It's funny, because according to Verizon's support staff, it is only my phone that is having these issues, and if I am interested in a refurbished one, my warranty is still good... And yet, all the research I have done, it seems that everyone who owns a blackberry storm 9530 is having the same exact problems, that I am continually having, but according to Verizon it is my phone. And what is even worse, is the support tech claims there is no update coming anytime soon, as far as he knows...

Yea you are definitely not alone on the phone quality, and that answer assures me that i need to either switch to the iphone or go back to the simpler days of the env and thanks for your input and knowing that im not the only one with these issues either. Its good to know no official update is coming out and that they have given up on the phone.

I'd wait till the storm's OS gets fixed before upgrading. BB's are great so I'll never own anything but a bb.

I've hardly had any issues in three months of using a Storm. You have to remember that a lot of the people who aren't having issues stay pretty quiet and don't complain on messageboards.

To those that say the Storm is slowly getting there: the phone or you? I have not seen a major software upgrade after 5 months. Kinda Microsoft-like?l
If it didn't get hung up a couple of times a day, be so difficult to edit text, get lost when going from phone mode back to any other mode - maybe I could live with it.
I love the browser, the e-mail, the tethering, etc, but the negatives overwhelm when they randomly occur.
Having come from a Q, and knowing the BB rep, I expected way too much. I was NOT looking for an I-phone replacement - need a device that I can rely on - to do business - daily - for at least 12 hours a day.

The Storm does not meet those needs for me - after 5 months of using it, I just can't continue to accept the problems.

I love my phone as I'm sure many others do to, and I'm still running .75 os. Can't wait for the next official os release.

Not a single issue with my Storm and I use every single little feature on it. Sorry you're having so much trouble. You are certainly not in the majority though, its just those who are having problems are very vocal. Those who aren't are too busy playing with their Storms to care what you say lol.

Don't be afraid. I came from the Pearl and couldn't be happier!!! No more randomly deleted messages because of low memory. Texting is much easier with a full keyboard, and my eyes don't kill me from watching a movie on such a tiny screen.

I hate how my storm rings only once or twice before I get a missed call. I also can't stand how slow it can run at times...It took me 5 minutes to wait for my phone to unlock so that I could get this girls number at the club last night...smh
