BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.7.0.172 (EastAsia)

* Software Platform: 4.0.0.153

Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.

For install instruction to load any carrier 8900 OS on your BB:

1. Download desired OS to your PC
2. Install/run OS to PC
3. Delete vendor.xml file. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader (If your not on Orange UK)
4. Connect BB to Desktop Manager and it should prompt the upgrade. If not click app loader and that should initialize it.
5. Do not unplug BB during the process. It will take around 30-60 minutes to complete upgrade.

Thanks but you might want to fix this Software v4.7.0.172 and make it Software v4.7.0.122 before you get everyone too excited.

will 9500 be avaible whit H3G?

Installed and it is running slick so far.

You will definitely have to delete the vendor.xml if you wipe this time.

If you actaully go into Desktop Manager, it has it as "Software v4.7.0.172" as well!

There are different numbers for each of the package version, platform version and application version - confusingly! All of them are similar looking numbers too, but it's the application version that seems to be the number to watch

Hey, we beat the 9530 people again at least kinda. Our's is on the BB official site, no fooling around with files and stuff apart from vendor.xml
