i followed these instructions exactly when attempting to downgrade from .85 to .76. When i selected the OS from the list and pressed next, i got the message "no software changes are needed at this time" on the next screen. any ideas anyone?

Disconnect from the internet and try again or use the alternate method outlined in the OP.

Nice write up Rooster.. You were a great help the other day and gave me the alternate step when DM did not work. After that I had zero issues at all! For some people it can be frustrating because even when following everything they have read down to the T some "bizare" things happen.. (DM not working)

thanks, is backing up 3rd party apps required? arent they backed up in the "device backup" done in desktop manager?

is it if you want to back them up seperate?

i dont see a step for restoring them in your guide, so i am assuming its not needed?
