BBCrackman .114 Hybrid V3!

Good evening everyone! Wow over the past two weeks us Storm users have had A LOT going on:
.114
V1
V2
.113


For roll call we have the following line up of Spartans:
BBcrackman, Bret, Cruz, Jlevy, Pupp3t, Brockmant, Rellims, etc.

It has been quite intense. Well BBcrackman from blackberryos.com is back at it and stronger than ever. Version 3, yes you read right, THREE is on it's way. We know RIM has things cooking but until we get them, lets cook up our own stuff.


Download Parts:
Version .114 OS: Megaupload 114 ONly use if .114 is not originally on you computer)
Version 3 HYBRID Hybridv3 here

Here are the instructions for v3.
1*) BACKUP PHONE BACKUP PHONE BACKUP PHONE BACKUP PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1) Download .114 OS (If you do not have it- see above)
2) Download Hybrid: v3 (see above)
3) Double click to open file- Extract the file
4) Rt click on extracted file 9530-v4.7.0.114_P4.0.0.143, click copy
5) Go to Loader Files (C:/ program files/ common files/ research in motion/ shared/ loader files/) rt click and paste, yes to overwrite
6) Up 2 levels to C:/ program files/ common files/ research in motion/ apploader/ delete vendor.xml
7) Same folder double click Loader.exe (looks like a phone)
8) Yes to downgrade (2nd Option- bottom option/bubble)
9) Back Up YES (make sure your first step was a backup on DM though)
10) Choose your apps you want installed
11) Verify installation
12) Finish
12a) DO A BATTERY PULL, THIS IS A MUST!!!!!!!!!!
13) OH MY GOSH MY EMAIL, BROWSER, OR BBMessenger dont work, what should I do? Once finished you may need to resend service books if browser or Black Berry Messenger does not work. Here are the instructions for that
a)Go to options, advanced options, host routing table then press BB menu key and then register now.
or b) Go to setup< Email settings< Log in< Blackberry Button< Service Books< Resend Service Books.

Here are the instructions AFTER the download.
PHONE NOT PLUGGED IN
1.Back up OS and 3rd party apps
2. Download the Zip Hybrid (Instructions also posted inside of zip file)((See above to download))
3. Download OS .114 (See Above)
4. Install OS .114 TO THE COMPUTER (This is not the hybrid you are installing to computer.)
5.Extract Zip Folder
Now you need to open the extracted folder, in that folder is another folder labeled 4.7.0.114 Hybrid, open that one. Inside that folder you will see 2 items
1. 4.7.0.114 ( this is the Hybrid that you need to right click on and copy)
2. A readme file

Now rt click and copy the 4.7.0.114 file from here
Go to C:> program files> common files> research in motion> shared> Loader files and paste (see pic) yes to overwrite (Yes to all).

If it does not ask to overwrite you need to Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9530-v4.7.0.114_P4.0.0.143 And DELETE THE FOLDER it should have replaced.
You MUST delete the FOLDER and REPLACE it with the BBCrackman HYBRID if it does not automatically ask for an overwrite/ copy over.



go back 1 level to the apploader folder and delete the vendor.xml file,


NOW PLUG PHONE IN, DO NOT OPEN DESKTOP MANAGER/ CLOSE DESKTOP MANAGER In the same folder is the Loader.exe file, double click that program. When it asks you if you want to keep the current system file or downgrade, choose downgrade and then hit next (Second Option).



This is after you start the loader program, you want to downgrade


Make sure you back up



verify installation This is going to take A WHILE but not as long as v1. WALK AWAY FROM PHONE




finish and verification



DO NOT TOUCH PHONE UNTIL AFTER IT BOOTS ITSELF UP, EVEN IF IT SITS ON WHITE SCREEN OF LOADING FOR 5,10,15 MIN. LET IT DO WHAT IT DOES. LOL

ALSO the platform and version will be the same as v1. The only way to know if you have done this correctly is to visual see the computer tell you the process has been finished.

VIDEO Explaining how to install version 1. These are the same steps as version 2! Also the same for Version 3!

Have been running the .113, but it's been a bit buggy. Was thinking about going back to V2, but then this!! I'll be waiting anxiously!!!

Its not a teaser it is to draw everyone into this thread so they know what is going on before all the directions hit. That way we can work out any bugs etc before the flood gates are opened.

Have you seen Oceans 13? We are having a 'soft' opening.

MAYBE tonight or tomorrow. We are polishing off instructions as we speak. May try to tone them down and change them to help out EVEN More.

We will also hopefully explain the pros of the update, what changes, maybe what parts of .113 have been included etc.

I just wanted to get this page up to let everyone know it is on the way withing the next dayish.... Hopefully I will have a couple more things to post tonight.
