I think the Sedio snap-on case is bulky! haha
But, like others have said, if you find yourself throwing your phone down staircases on occasion - this is the case/protection for you! | And while I understand your point, I don't have my phone as a fashion statement as many people do now. Its purely function for me. I'd rather have my new Aprilia RSV4, a BMW, electronics in my house, clothing, or something of that nature as a fashion statement rather than a simple phone. But to each his own.

One question I had ... How does the trackball feel with the plastic cover? I understand that there's a cutout for it, but many early reviews of the Tour complained about how recessed the trackball was. Does it seem that much worse or any worse at all with the case on?

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | The use of the trackball is not hindered by the case at all. There is a little black piece of plastic which holds the screen protector but it stops just before the trackball. Rolling up on the trackball, I haven't had any issues, though it'll take a little getting used to for some who may notice. I have OCD, or so I'm told by doctors and my wife, so I notice the difference in textures from scrolling and having just the clear screen versus the plastic.
But it does not in any way hinder my abilities to use the tackball at all.

Yes, this is true. If you don't work in an area that you need it, then you can always go with the Impact or another case of your choice. The reason why I swear by the OtterBox is because of my job. I'm an IT guy so crawling around under desks, in ceilings, and cramped places, my phones get banged around a lot. I also ride a motorcycle and leave the phone attached to my belt when I'm on my Yamaha R6. Its fallen off at about 45-50mph down the street, only once though, but it still worked. I wouldn't try it at a higher rate of speed though. | Yeah I'm IT too but I just have my work phone in the holster hehe.. The tour i usually just keep in my pocket. Yeah phone on the hip riding probably isn't the best haha but it's annoying to ride with it in your pocket too. Backpacks are a nessesity lol.

Oh, it appears that the clear membrane no longer covers as much of the Tour as it did my 8830 which was almost completely covered by the clear layer. With the new "hard" screen protector built-in they no longer wrap about the back covering the battery opening seams or what about the speaker and microphone holes?
That overall protection from moisture was what I really appreciated for my outdoor exploits. Oh, well....

Is that just a HUGE Otterbox in your pocket or are you just happy to see me? Geezzzz Laaaawwweeezz. That thing is like a brick. You're going to have to get a belt clip for your belt clip to hold that thing on your belt, and maybe a good set of suspenders to hold your pants up. WAY TOO BIG FOR ME.

I can't take turns at 100+mph because it restricts the movement of my arms plus it throws weight around to unbalance the bike through the turns. Quote:

That overall protection from moisture was what I really appreciated for my outdoor exploits. Oh, well.... | The all-around-protection that they had on the 8830 and 8330, which I had, did offer a little more on moisture but I think that is why the seal on this one is so much stronger and tighter. The screen can't get moisture through it, I tested it with some water drops and putting it under the faucet (without my BB in though). It didn't leak.
That's why they made just the keyboard cover which is still held securely under the case, very well at that may I add. Quote:

Look at the video of me throwing it down the stairs, its still kicking. Actually, a little better IMHO than it was prior to me throwing it down the stairs!

One (for now) other thing...
I know you have the "otter" thread but any more feedback from them on the usb charger plug size issue? (Yes, I also own a dremel tool if necessary)
