FAN discount on unlimited text

Noticed my bill went up ~$7. Was told that AT&T no longer gives FAN discount on the unlimited text plan part of my bill. Why? The FAN discount applies to my call plan (although not my add a line?) and my Blackberry plan (for now!) but not the family text plan. They made the decision to do this in April but did not bother to send out an email or letter to their customers. Just decided to make changes to my bill and not inform me. This seems like very shady operations to me. Guess I will need to re-evaluate my decision to stick with AT&T for my home phone, DSL, Dish, and cellular when my cell contract is up. Not happy!

They most likely notified the company through which you get your fan discount. Fans are now only applied to individual features on the host line w/ a MRC of $30/month or higher.

Seems like a back-handed way to raise money to me. Already pay more with AT&T than US Cellular.

Wait, so my 22 percent discount through home depot no longer applies to my $20 unlimited text plan?

Edit: What about the $50 data/text plan? I forgot I changed my plan to that (the rep currently had my plan with the $30 data and $20 text plan, I changed it to the $50 data/text plan) Does ATT count it as a $50 MSC or still 2 seperate MSC's?

In all actuality, the FAN discount was never supposed to include family messaging. This isn't with AT&T, it's the agreement that the company has with AT&T.

I had it being applied to my individual plan for unl messages as well and I work for AT&T. I actually have a new kind of discount being applied to my account, so this didn't effect me, but that is correct.

You may want to check your invoice... that's a very good question, never saw anyone with the bundle.
