I wanted to again share with all you very hard working Theme Builders my
own personal theme I call Zen Tesla and also a very simple step out from
this theme using one of the papers by Fabuloso (who definitely has it
together and has the use of color under control).
Issues of transparency and third party apps abound. I have included the
impact on the Active Tasks Bar.
Recall that I am not exploring animation. I instead took the lead of Zain Malik
- NO DORKY ICONS, just da buttons. Now I am looking at (but not yet
effectively using) COLOR. In this simple step out, I reverse Zen Tesla, albeit
not in the exact mathematical sense, using the Focus Buttons as the
Normals and their PSE-7 inverse (CTRL I) as their Focus, plus the elementary
Quick Sliders Operations in PSE-7. (Hey, what do you expect from a 68 year old
Nuclear Physicist ?)
The net result is that I can showcase all of the various Zen Tesla colored
Focus buttons in one swell foop. Please do note the color structure in some
of these babies. I am trying to get my use of color under control and to use it
effectively. In this step out theme, the look and feel is NOT surreal, it
is, ahem, playful. Got any favorites ? What are some really, really
compelling uses of color ?
You will again note four classes of buttons here:
(1) third party apps (Opera, File Manager Pro,
BerryWeather, Verizon Navigator [hidden]);
(2) third party news feeds (AP News, Reuters, WSJ), all
prepared by Joe Pro and quite sleek these days;
(3) RIM/House (Messages, Video Camera, Camera,
Memos, Options, Browser);
(4) Jonathan Fisher Launchers (Y! Mail, Y! Spam,
Accuweather Active Radar, NASA);
At the bottom of the Apps Screens, you see the row of BLANK BUTTONS, a
necessary concession, since we cannot seem to effectively deal with
FOLDERS in 4_7. These are Options, Games, Downloads, and The CON.
As regards Y! Mail and Y! Spam, recall that in the world of BB, you can
FILTER your mail so that ONLY critical stuff gets to you while you deal with
clients, etc. in the real worlds of business, medicine, the Law, and (gulp)
politics. These two puppies let you see your entire boxes by clicking, if
you just can't wait until you return to your Fortress of Solitude.
I will certainly try to answer any question you may have about these themes.
Hats off to Daveastra and Iowabowtech for all their help and suggestions!
And yes, it is BG HOT in Texas !
