Default Should my new curve 8900 be making my hand feel numb?

Hi i'm a new blackberry user - I got the curve 8900 last week and I think it's great. I'm having a problem though with how the device makes my hands feel when I use it.

My hands feel very strange, achy and tingly when I touch the curve - even when I just hold it in my hand without using the keypad. It feels like the phone is emitting waves or something similar.

I've never had problem like this with other phones and I'm a little concerned as I've just started a new 18 month contract which seems a ling time to put up with the strange sensation from the phone.

Has anyone else experienced these problems? I'd appreciate any help or advice.

Cheers

That sounds kind of messed up man, I've never heard of anything like this before. Sorry, don't think I can help.

I don't think it has anything to do with any RF or other energy emissions coming from the phone. You may have some carpal tunnel developing and that particular position causes it to act up. I would try some kind of case that makes the phone bigger and see if that helps. Find one that you like too so if it doesn't work you are still rocking a nice case. This may not work because sometimes the problem starts in the elbows and not the hands or wrists. If it doesn't work, or even if it does, it might be time to get looked at by a neurologist.

I agree with skyboxer-may be carpal tunnel syndrome. You might try wearing carpal tunnel braces when not using hands and while sleeping. Some anecdotal evidence taking vit. B6 may help. If persists see Physical Medicine MD and have Nerve Conduction Velocity measured. The test will usually check from elbow and wrist to pinpoint where issue is.

It's what we like to call the case of 'BlackBerry Thumb,' just in a larger scale cause it's hurting your whole hand. Which would make it 'BlackBerry Hand' or carpal tunnel. I like the BB Hand name better!
