Default Newest 8900 OS: v4.6.1.152 (Multilanguage)

Software For BlackBerry® Curve (TM) 8900 smartphone
From Mobily, this will load to any carrier's 8900 model.

BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.6.1.241 (Multilanguage)

Package Version: 4.6.1.241
Consisting of:

* Applications: 4.6.1.152
* Software Platform: 4.2.0.91
* File name: 8900M_PBr4.6.1_rel241_PL4.2.0.91_A4.6.1.152_Mobily .exe
* File size: 123.06MB

Download the OS here:
https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...9A7B9BFE74D58B

*** YouTube will not work on this version***

Instructions for installing either version on ANY carrier's 8900:

1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

Enjoy !

Don't see how they can make the worst version yet official. This version makes the UI laggy.

SMS icon doesnt respond alot but the others do when clicked.

Great, I have been waiting for an official update. I hope this solves the problem of my game freezing and requiring a battery pull. Sid Meyer's Pirates is hella fun, and it sucks that it freezes on the last Beta download I had.

I am going to be installing this soon on my 8900. I just want to know when there will be realplayer support added. I have a bunch of videos that I saved as realplayer vids and want to put them on my 8900.

Maybe the leaked Version was an early Beta? I hope so and will test this Version.

Never had this problem with .152, but I did have a host of others.

If youtube still doesn't work CX came up with the "hack" of using the .114 radio file (I believe that was it) in this OS.
