Hi friendlies,

I've done a variety of searches and read as many forums as I thought relevant, but I just can't seem to find my question phrased exactly.

I have an iPhone 3G and an offer of an unlocked, brand new, Blackberry Bold 9000. I want to switch to the Bold but am not sure if I can just drop my iPhone SIM card into it and then resume my time travel.

I don't care about anything but phone and email and straight texting but I've read some threads that say I need to call Fido and ask them to put me on a BB data plan. Other posters have said the Bold won't work at all on the Fido network. Does anyone have some counsel?

Again, all I care about is phone and email and straight texting (I don't need to use MMS), and that those services be reliable.

Yes you can. You just have to call fido and ask for the bb data plan to be added.
